V1.7.4 Release Notes

Version 1.7.4 of the Notary eJournal includes enhancements and bug fixes from the previous month’s worth of user feedback and data logging

Official release notes:

Move Signature panel controls to header for better usability. Fixing an occasional sorting problem on the dashboard. Adding additional Notarization Types. Various bug fixes and updates to the Android platform. Bug fixing and performance updates

Breakdown:

Signature Panel Buttons

  • We have received requests to optimize the signature panel window, and are working on things such as pen stroke width (which is not included in this update)

  • Based on user feedback, we have moved the signature panel buttons to the top of the screen, as opposed to the bottom (where they currently reside).

  • Our feedback indicated that under certain circumstances, a signer might accidentally hit one of the buttons with their hand as they attempted to sign. Hopefully moving the panel to the top of the screen mitigates this.

New Notarization Types

  • New notarization types have been added, which include: Copy Certification, Signature Witnessing, Oath/Affirmation

  • If you have any requests for notarization types, please reach out to support@juratinc.com and we will add them to the list

Sort by “completed” time stamp bug fixed

  • It was brought to our attention by one of our users (thank you, Jeff) that there was a bug that certain people were experiencing that caused their notary journal entries to be sorted by the “uploaded” time-stamp as opposed to the “completed” time-stamp. This has been fixed

Comments:

While these updates may not be as large as a previous feature release (1.7.1), we find it prudent to update the app with bug fixes and minor tweaks as often as possible. Much of our updates & feature enhancements come directly from user feedback, so please feel free to email us with feedback and feature requests at support@juratinc.com
