Users can now create a new document type while offline, to be synced with the server at a later point.
Previously, the system wouldn’t allow a new document type to be create while offline due to server sync constraints
Comments:
Offline entries are entries that have been created while the app is in an offline state, meaning you are not connected to wifi or cell service. The app allows offline functionality for 12 hours since your last authentication with the server. Examples below
You perform a notarization at 8am. You have 12 hours from that point until the server will require authentication. That means you have offline functionality until 8pm. You then head to another appointment at 1pm, but notice that you have no service when you arrive. You will still have access to the app and can add the entry. it will be saved as a completed draft until you sync it with the server (once you get back to an area with service).
You perform a notarization at 8am Monday, but don’t perform another one until Wednesday, 2 days later. If you haven’t logged in to the app since Monday, and show up at an appointment on Wednesday that doesn’t have an accessible connection to wifi or cell service, you will find yourself on the log in page. You will not be able to log in, since you have not been authenticated by the serves since Monday.
Note: Ask the signer if they have wifi that you could use in the event that you are offline and have no other options
After entering the offline documents/signings menu, you will see a list of any new offline document types and entries that need to be synced to the servers
Syncing an offline document type will add it to your library for future use
Syncing an offline signing will finalize the entry by uploading it to the server. This step is an integral part of the signing, so be sure not to forget about any pending offline entries.
